I believe it is the portion that used to be the tomorrowland autopia. The old fantasyland Autopia segment is built on solid ground. What should be done is to reduce the track size and bring it back to what used to be the tomorrowland track then use the remaining land along with the motorboat cruise area land and use it for something else.

The cars would look much more futuristic and will still allow people to drive them but at certain parts of the track the ride system would override the controls and take over the car. During these segments the cars would go thru new show scenes that would be built for the attraction

They just have to be willing to foot the bill, which I don't see happening. I like bean's idea of reducing its size to the old TL part (maybe cutting down on the number of tracks since they're never all open anyway), and using the FL part for a new attraction. It would be tough to build around the Monorail, and tough to get rid of it (it does have that historical engineering plaque in the station...is it protected??), but there is plenty of room there to do some neat stuff.

Someone in another board had an interesting idea when rumors were flying around about the peoplemovers having an incredible overlay. They suggested that the peoplemover be designed to look like pods and within the diferent buildings small show scenes added to help portray a storyline. Once the individual pods exited the last southern most building near the innovention building it would travel to the section over the motor boat area. In this area a new mountain would be built that is smaller than the matterhorn but also blends in to the submarine rockwork

The track in this area for the incredipods would be rebuilt to allow for some speed and maybe some sharp turns and an escape route after the battle. I thought that was an interesting idea when I first read it. A storyline could easily be created that is not to complicatedand fits with the overall theme of a new futuristic city built partially within a lava core for energy. The idea would also blend nicely with the volcanoe the submarines and create an area between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland that transitions the futuristic theme to the fantasy theme

However, if that were added to Tomorrowland, then it’s just another Pixar cartoon that’s adding to the takeover. And, The Incredibles were actually contemporary, not the future. So they should be more Fantasyland, not Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland has already lost a lot of it’s “Tomorrow” aspects. I think that they should be looking to add attractions that strengthen the future aspects, and get away from just filling in with cartoon character elements.

I think what i liked about that persons idea is that most of the attraction would had focused on a Jetson style future city with the main mountain/ showroom within a alnd that would give both tomorrowland and fantasyland that needed transition now that the subs have gotten a bit of a cartoonish feel.
