My take... DEAN> Not that it makes it right, but welcome to the real world...look at the corporate world US right now -- GM and Ford both with huge takebacks, IBM feezing pension plan in effect cancelling for all new employees - ditto for about 15 other companies, retirees at Sears/ Lucent losing $$ - over 8 M jobs off shroed in last 10 years.. could go on and on...in the scheme of things still better at Disney than most of the other companies that size.... again, not that I like it. it is just the way it is

I have known many Disney CM's -- from the Disney Stores to the parks to a few techies....the pixie dust goes away much of the time when it is your job...but I have to say, most were happier than the general work force.

PERIOD!!< Wow, goofy47 - do you have a thing or two to learn about online communications! You've been here for less than two weeks and you're already telling us what we can and can't discuss? Not a chance! Moderators will step in when necessary, but other than that we'll talk about what we want to talk about. If you don't like the thread, DON'T READ IT. But don't ever try to censor what people are discussing - you don't begin to have the right. Now that I have that off my chest, I can go on to disagree with your premise - that this site is only for people who are planning Disney vacations. If you'd been here longer you would know that that is indeed ONE of the purposes, but by far not the only one. People discuss CM issues, perceived problems with the Disney company, wishes for new park additions, etc. - just about anything to do with Disney. I tend to get tired of those who have nothing but negative things to say, but they sure have a right to their opinions, just as I have the right to disagree. So if someone wants to grumble about not being treated right by the Disney company, I'll listen, but hold the right to make up my own mind about it. And that, I dare say, is why this message board was set up!

And, since you're not a moderator, why do you get to say what people can talk about?

Now, Dan, you KNEW I was going to read this eventually so WHY on earth did you say it? I'm a native Texan (from San Antonio) and do NOT have mushmouth! Not all Texans are like those big-haired folks that are common in the eastern and northeastern parts of this great state. Kinky for Governor!

Gurley I believe—had the big backfire in late 2003 which injured the at least one CM, if this helps jog your memory. We literally felt the reverberations in the Auto pit and heard Monorail felt to too. Speaking of that, had you heard whether the CM was alright? I had heard he was taken to the hospital with some serious burns, but that’s about it. Thanks!
