The best example of a fun mine car ride was the Golden Nugget on Hunt's Pier in Wildwood, NJ. There were only two cars attached which started off climbing to the top of the attraction where it traveled around giving views of the beach and boardwalk (much like Splash Mtn does with the MK) and then you'd enter the mine and that's when the fun really began. I always thought of it as a haunted house on wheels because many of the rooms and scenes were creepy. But there were a lot of twists and turns and hills as you made your way down through the mine to the exit. In one room you slowed down and traveled through an enormous painted drum that spun around you which gave the impression you were rolling upside down. What made this ride an absolute winner was that it was a "must do" whether you were 5 or 25. And it really had broad appeal. The coaster fans loved it (like myself) and it was perfect for those that were too scared for the traditional coasters. This would be such a slamdunk in FL it's not even funny. Here's a link to give you an idea. The Golden Nugget portion runs from about 3:45 to 5:00. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...=related

As sad as it is, the Morey family which owns 3 of the other ride piers have poured millions into new attractions and upkeep, so even though I have fond memories, the current day boardwalk is pretty cool. Something for everyone and very family friendly.

Would they really bother with doing that with both Big Thunder and Everest in two of their parks? A third (or fourth with the Dwarf train) "runaway mine train" coaster would be more than redundant. I guess the Dwarf mine train would be a little better, since it would be a kiddie coaster with theming. Not a thrill ride per-se like the other "bigger brothers".

They created a fake army around him to give the Germans the illusion that he would be leading the main thrust of the European invasion. I'm starting to feel this is just another made up rumor planted to draw attention away from anything that may or may not be happening. That's just my over the top conspiracy theory.
