I think it looks better now - when it was freshly painted it was just a bit too pink for my taste. Now it's settled into more of a burnished terra-cotta look, which complements all the gold trim wonderfully. DB, if you have any shots of the castle when it was freshly painted and these recent shots, it would be interesting to compare the color from then and now.
