A parade like Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade (which I've always had a soft spot for) is exactly what WDW should be producing. The simple fact is that they refuse to give WDI Creative Entertainment any budget whatsoever - instead all of the entertainment is produced on a shoestring (relatively speaking) by inexperienced and out-of-their-depth show producers in the swamps. It is a sad indictment on live entertainment at WDW when Steven Davison and the other creative directors have never created a parade at WDW unlike every other resort around the world. Truly remarkable.

The floats were bland, the choreography was simple at best, and there were hardly any dancers. I think the biggest problem is that there was no variety throughout the course of the parade. The cones at the end look silly because there are really only two basic floats, and then the end. A parade with simple floats can get by with lots of good dancers, but there just weren't enough of them, and their choreography was laughably simple. With a lot of the shows (like Block Party Bash and DL's Celebrate! A Street Party), the performers put so much into the show that if nothing else, you get into it because of them. While it's not quite the Disney magic they promote in the commercials, there's just something about seeing a whole crew of CMs drenched in sweat on a really hot day, still giving it their all in the third 13-minute show stop in a row. This parade simply doesn't have that. And it won't because it was designed in a way that will allow the performers to show off any sort of semblence of talent. Not only is this parade bad, but it really is an embarrasment to the folks who perform in it every day. And the boat on Echo Lake looks like it's in need of a paint job, like 10 years ago. Has it ever been painted? It needs help, just like the parade...
