I think we will see much more of her from here on out. while not a tough interbire by any stretch, she was excellent onwith hannity last night and it was obvious this is no dumb woman. not by a long shot. She answered questions from their audience yesterday and I think she will begin to hit her stride. She has alot riding on the debate to be sure.

If she did, she would appoint someone with a lot of Washington experience to cover her weaknesses just like Obama did with Biden. I don't think she would ever be considered one of the best presidents, but she wouldn't be considered one of the worst ones either. So what do I like about her? She's a real person. She is still close enough to living a real life that she hasn't had her vision completely distorted by big-time politics. There is half a chance that she might actually continue to see things the way a large number of Americans see them. We are tired of being ignored by people like Bush. We are tired of being talked down to by people like Obama. It would be danged refreshing for the first time in God knows how many years to have a true citizen-politician in office again. She has handled herself far better than I ever expected after first hearing McCain had chosen her. She has held up under massive fire that would have crushed many politicians far more experienced than she is. I still like her. I like her a bunch. She would not be my pick for president, but as I said before, I don't think that will ever be an issue.

Originally Posted By Dabob2 <I like that she seems genuinely like one of the folks, not some contrived attempt like Biden.> Why, exactly, is Biden a "contrived attempt at being one of the folks?" You may not like his politics, but he's one of the more genuine pols around. In fact, when he gets in trouble is when he says things that aren't "politic" and rehearsed to the nth degree. Palin can't seem to say anything but some variation on the same damn speech she's been spouting since the convention. When she has to deviate from it... she still doesn't deviate from it, as we saw with Gibson. She slipped back into her well-coached responses and talking points at every opportunity. That's not "real." Biden, by the way, is the 99th richest US senator, with a net worth of only 100-150K (!). http://www.washingtonpost.com/..._pf.html "Net worth: $100,000-$150,000 Details: Biden has spent virtually his whole life in public service and does not have much else aside from investments in a small array of mutual funds and cash accounts. He received a $112,000 advance from Random House for a book in 2005." Frankly, I'm surprised ANYONE who's been in the senate as long as he has hasn't "cashed in" on it, as most do. Hell, MY net worth is more than that. Nearly all senators find some way to become wealthy off it and "cash in" but he has not. I really respect that. Tell me again how he's not a regular person?

He could've become a consultant or something, instead of commuting from Delaware everyday. Biden's just an idiot, clearly. But Palin? That's real people right there. Lots of people shoot animals from helicopters and having tanning beds in their homes. Lots of people enter beauty pageants. That's the real deal, right there.

Biden's children seem to adore him and he deliberately commuted home each day to be with them and not uproot them. And it's hilarious that making over 100,000 is called "not taking care of your family." No wonder the GOP is out of touch.
