When I stayed at CBR in December, it was the first time I'd stayed there since that first time in the 90s. It was nice, but I just didn't appreciate the layout. Give me POR any day.

Had she corrected me rather than Spirit I would have explained it to her this way. If Spirit had offered me half of his supream pizza, and a cold mug of Michelob, he would have been too kind. For one slice of a mediocre $4.99 pizza, and a warm glass of tap water, he is only to kind. I bet Wall-E made out better than me.

But you shouldn't complain. The pizza was lousy.

That stay was what hooked me on staying on property because prior to that I mostly stayed off-property due largely to price and having to book months (and sometimes years in advance). But they definitely have had 'issues' there with maintaining the property. I stayed in Building 15 in 10/00 when I literally was the second person to get a new room. 14 months later I was back in the same building and the carpeting looked filthy and there were marks on the walls. I guess it, like the Beach Club, is just plagued by bad management since it seems to have had these issues regularly ... that said, it wouldn't prevent me from booking there for 2009. <<When I stayed at CBR in December, it was the first time I'd stayed there since that first time in the 90s. But I'd much rather stay at Port Orleans, the real one, over any other WDW moderate because it comes the closest to the feeling of a deluxe even if the idiots in charge closed Bonfamille's in 2001!

I dined there many times from 1991-2000 and never found it less than full, usually with folks waiting to get in. The food was also quite tasty and reasonable. As to the PO food court, it is definitely the weak link of the resort, no doubt. Part of it is the size, which limits the selections. I can't say I've ever had anything much better than 'OK' there. But going elsewhere to dine is a small price to pay for the most upscale feeling moderate resort!
