Oh, and the Harry Potter flyover was very neat to see. I can't wait to check out that land when I visit. I'm not too concerned about the coaster though. I kind of expect Universal to not be as immersive as Disney. Still, even painting it black and orange will be a little less glaring than the bright blue & red it is now.

I know, but even so the place feels cheesy and not a place that locals would frequent. USH always felt more like it would appeal to folks from the midwest or Germany craning their necks hoping to see somebody famous.

But America keeps dumbing itself down (in fact society at large) and people are less interested in learning. It is down right depressing.

Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt "Can't they level half the park and build it? Most of their rides are old and boring, replace them!" They'll do it if the thing generates enough income and makes sense financially. Universal Hollywood has some pretty tired franchises right now (Backdraft? Jurassic Park?) and Harry Potter will remain hot for at least the next 10-20 years. If they don't build the whole land I expect them to at least add the new Harry Potter ride at some point.

Me too. I rank it right up there with Ripley's Believe or Not, Madame Trousseau's Wax Museum, or the chicken dinners at Knott's Berry Farm. They're all cheesy tourist traps.

Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt >>Dont you mess with my Mrs. Knotts. LOL<< I kind of figured that might rub someone the wrong way, and in a way those dinners get a pass because locals actually do eat there.
