Seriously, they closed this attraction early in the fall, and it has simply sat there for months on end without any real progress being made. Yah, they took the orange down and repainted the ride's fiberglass shell, but up until the point they added the beginnings of the new decorations a few weeks ago, there had been nothing done. They also haven't seemed to made any progress since the initial additions a couple weeks ago. It will take them a while to add in the new boardwalk, redecorate the elevator tower, and add in all the fancy railings, but they don't seem to be pushing to get it done any time soon.

I thought they were trying to keep DCA's attraction capacity up while they filled the park with construction walls, not close rides down for 2-3 times as long as nessecary.

It's interesting to me that Disney calls this a "new" attraction. Does anyone know if it is indeed new, or is just a Mickey Mouse overlay of the original Orange Stinger?

The outer shell seems to have been replaced for the canopy, and either replaced or repainted for the column. I have no idea if the swings will be the same ones as before, but the design looks the same, so I don't know why they would pay to replace them with the same thing.

The only thing they didn't tear down was the elevator. Those things take so long to get approved and are built very carefully that it went untouched. To this day it still has the bee boxes around it until they finish the que then they will finally redecorate it. In the end it will have gone from this - http://disney.rocket9.net/imag....800.jpg to this - http://travel.latimes.com/dail...s500.jpg. I don't know what they did with the interior things. I would think they would recycle everything they could and then only build new what had to be. It seems the top is the only thing I can see that needed to be fully redone.

Sculptor dude, you're obviously not in Disney look and that annoys me, but neither neither is Joe Rhode, so I can't really blame you, and you're doing a decent job and *squint* your reference photos have the right color for Mickey's coat. So sculptor dude you're ok, unless you actually painted it.

Then you're on my crap list. Notice how the blog does not show anyone actually painting the thing.

The poor painter has probably already threatened to sue if their identity is ever revealed.

Then open another window and look at these colors mousemerf posted, with the ones on the left being the ones in The Band Concert short:

    http://img.villagephotos.com/p...key1.jpg

When I compare the two, the colors on the topper look much more like the color patches on the left than the right.

Interesting how different that green looks in that shot compared to some of the static images I've seen online.
