Um the world will disagree with you. Episode II was no doubt the weakest of the series but it did have its moments (Battle of Genonosis, Fight in the asteroid field, Yoda vs. Dooku, etc.)

    and Episode III was fantastic

I think it's being proposed for all the Star Tours around the world...depending on each resort's budget, of course. The one that may take the longest would be DLRP, since they really have budget issues. DL, WDW, and TDL would probably all get it around the same time period, give or take a few months.

While the last three 'Star Wars' movies may have done great box office, I found them to be quite boring -- with wooden performances, too much talking, and gratituitous use of the latest special effects.

'Let's have them fight -- on a huge pool of lava!'

Again, lots of people went to see the movies, George Lucas made a pile of money, but as we know, the movies were skewered by the critics, and were not what I would describe as 'good.'

I much prefer the original 'Star Wars' and 'The Empire Strikes Back' -- both well done. Clever.

Even 'Return of the Jedi' gets a bit clunky. And I think it's because George Lucas is directing. It's amazing that Harrison Ford can come across as a bad actor. Yet, in 'Jedi' he does.

Skellington, I assume you are young?

Anyway, it was horrible. Take my word for it.

You REALLY didn't mean to talk trash about a piece of cinematic history now, did you?

Sure 'Jedi' has that great opening sequence with Jabba the Hutt [have you seen his face on that tree in Adventureland?], and those cool speeders in the forest -- but you know, you also have the Ewoks, and some of those scenes between Han Solo and Leia are downright cringe inducing.

It was just one surprise after another.

The direction was tight, and the actors were good in that one. The scenes with Han Solo and Leia and Luke in the Hoth planet hideout are especially good.

    And funny!

In the last three movies, George Lucas seemed to forget that humor is an important part of the Star Wars legacy -- and not just C-3PO quipping one-liners.

Maybe it was because I saw the opening of 'Empire Strikes Back' at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. It was one of the craziest, and most enjoyable movie events I've ever experienced.

Hayden Christensen I thought was awful (talk about a wooden performance)-- I thought Jake Lloyd was annoying until Hayden took over - it made me appreciate Jake a lot more.

Pluses: the return of the Emperor and the droids to the screen, Natalie Portman to look at ( although GL, please use some wizardry to reshoot the Ani you're breaking my heart scene...oh my..awful) -Clone troopers, Qui Gon Jin, Imperial Senate scene, Watto and of course Fighting Yoda !
    just my 2 cents

But that said, the places where the Star Wars prequels excel are the visceral, special effects filled fast paced scenes that are exactly what you would want on a simulator ride. What's bad for the movies in execs is good for the simulator ride.

Empire's the best... I mean, that's kind of hard to debate. Characterizations are rich, the storyline twists and turns and has wonderful reveals, and the ending is gutsy, bittersweet and leaves you wanting to jump right in for more. Very few films ever achieve this.

Anyway... pretty much hated Ep. 1, it's just junk - but was destined to make huge money with the hype and brand name. Ep. 2 - you know, the story is unfolding, people are hoping "well, maybe this one won't be crap."

And with Episode 3, everyone was REALLLLLLY hoping and believing (don't know why) that Lucas would actually remember how to make a movie with this one...

And he remembered a few things, sure, paid off some moments, but mostly he just made a big noisy movie, that left all but the youngest fans screaming "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

    :)

I believe vbdad has pointed out what kind of crowds they draw around the country with those SW things they have. Star War fans will never get enough. If the area is done right they will make a lot of new Star War fans also. It would definitely be a gamble, but I think they could pull it off if they had some very imaginative people working on the project.
