Totally what you'd expect the first words of DARTH VADER to be. "no!!!!!!!" Cheesy, horrible, crappy...pick a perjorative. "Anakin, you're breaking my heart. You're going down a path I can not follow" Can I puke now? Oh, and if Mace wasn't such a slow idiot, bantering with Anakin for 10 minutes over whether it was "the Jedi way" to kill Palpatine, he could have just killed him and the galaxy would have been safe. End of story. "UNLIMITED...POWER!!!! Muhahahahaha." Yup, Lucas even killed the Emperors coolness too. Nice work, George. The premise of the movie was great, the excecution was just HORRIBLE... Sorry, I'm a fan of "good movies", but this wasn't one of them.

The Anthony Daniels quote is very encouraging, because if true, it would mean they've already progressed far enough to have re-written the attraction and begun production. However, the Anthony Daniels quote could be made up by whomever reported it. Has there been confirmation? 2. If it is more than just a fan rumor and design and production is secretly already underway, the specs listed at the beginning of this thread involve major engineering, construction, installation, etc. (Omnimax domes, new AAs etc.). 3. I wouldn't expect this to open before late 2009 or 2010.

Special Effects aside, when you see the rest of the movie it doesn't feel like it was made at any specific time period.

Originally Posted By Jim in Merced CA <Mr.X Hammy dialogue has been a staple of teh series since the beginning> Good examples of cheesy dialogue from the first movies. My feeling is that Lucas had 22 years from the first 'Star Wars' movie in 1977 to 'The Phamtom Menace.' He improved on the special effects in that time -- why not his directorial skills? Or better yet, why not let another director direct? You know why? Because he thinks he's a good director.

Talk about angsty teen, and annoying bratty kid. I agree about Lucas directing...it's not been a good thing. He needs to let others do that. Empire Strikes Back was the best of the films because he didn't direct. The dialogue he uses is sometimes cringe inducing...especially in the "prequel" films!
