I was a little PO that staying at the NYNY didnt include at least one ride free on the coaster. It was sad looking out my window seeing everyone but me have fun! lucky for me i was driving over to DL a few days later.
Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt "Ohh Hans im sure you would pay more for a fancy cocktail!" Yes, and the effects of a cocktail last a lot longer than a 2 minute coaster ride. Every time I'm in Vegas I just stare and that thing and wonder just how much revenue that coaster generates for the hotel. On a busy weekend it's around $250 each trip! Hey, but whatever floats your boat.

Fairs are totally ridiculous! It was 7.50 per ride that my kids wanted to ride together at the fair. For kids tiny, stupid rides!" I invite you all to do an interesting experiment. Take the amount of money you spent on tickets for your last trip and divide it by the number of rides/shows you were able to take in. I am curious to see the numbers for AP's, too. Obviously, their cost will be much lower than the example below. This is a generic example (not mine). Let's look at an average family of four with 3-Day Hoppers. 3-Day Hopper (Adult): $186 3-Day Hopper (Child): $165 1 ride per hour (average) 12 hours per day (average) ________________________________ 36 rides for $186 = $5.16 per ride ($10.32 for two adults) 36 rides for $165 = $4.58 per ride ($9.16 for two kids) Average family on an average trip = $19.48 per ride! That’s right. Almost $20 each time a family of four goes on a ride (on average). When I look at those numbers, I would be hesitant to fork over $20 for a family ride on Storybook Land. Think about all the rides you would pay that much for...and the ones you would not. All of a sudden, you start thinking about things like overall entertainment value, attraction time, etc. Anyway, I thought that was interesting.

PAP $439 / 60 trips a year = $7.31 per trip 5 rides (I'm guessing an average) per trip ... $1.46 per ride. My son is under 3, so he rides free... If I'm doing that right... $1.46 per ride sounds high, though.

Originally Posted By SpokkerJones "A 1 day hopper is $101 so just after 10 visits it's paid for it's self." This isn't necessarily true. The value you receive from the 2nd, 3rd or 4th visit and beyond is not the same as the first visit. It declines with successive visit in a finite period of time. If this were not true, then Disneyland would not offer multi-day passes or annual passes. People would instead pay the 1-day price whether they are visiting once or four days in a row.

If u went every Saturday or once a month after 10 thats 1k. even with a 6 day hopper being $216 after 30 visits a 1k PAP would still be a better deal. As it is now a PAP is a steal after 12 visits.
