I never assume that anywhere is 100% safe, and I always make sure to pay attention. I just wanted to make sure it's not somewhere where even walking a couple blocks isn't recommended at all. Heck, there are places near some of the theatres in Los Angeles where I know walking a couple blocks isn't a good idea! /cs

I wasn't born there, don't live there now, and probably wouldn't move back just for logistical reasons, but something about NY will alway be home. You'll have a wonderful time! If you're looking for a great Deli, go to Carnegie Deli - and make sure you have a slice at Rays. ;-)
