    How true! Don't blame the child for acting like a child - blame the parent for not acting like a parent.

    Maybe that is why my daughter never liked fur characters? (Until she roomed with one! <G>)

    At the end of his first trip, however, I found my 2 year old son belly-bumping the three pigs! :)

Little tikes are generally cool around the characters (after all, EVERYTHING is big and weird and new to them), but after a certain age the kids have a certain set of expectations and even if they LOVE Goofy on TV, seeing this gigantic THING walk up to them sets off a screaming fit (sometimes).

    If the diaper bag saids 10-15 lbs. shouldn't you wait to change it so you get your monies worth?

    Not a bad idea, and farbeit for me to imply I wouldn't do my fair share, but as for us we always changed Little X together..in the baby care center.

    It's just so nice in there. Such a break from the rest of the park, so quiet and cute, AND sometimes you even get to see secret characters that nobody else gets to see!

    (of course, in emergency situations we'd use other facilities (like a Pirates of the Caribbean boat or something), but generally we planned the day around trips to the baby center and it worked out great)

    So, in conclusion, it is an excellent idea to bring infants to Disney parks. If you don't have one of your own, I suggest borrowing one from a friend.

    100% agree with this

    Assuming you're not kidding, I'll tell you why not. Diapers STINK! It's something you get used to as a parent, but there are a lot of people on any given boat who are not parents and don't want to be exposed to that, especially while they should be concentrating on the ride. Very bad form, X.

    So no need for the "bad form" admonishment. I find it hard to believe that noone caught the fact that I was being sarcastic in the first place...considering the fact that I was talking all about good childcare and decent parents and making use of the baby center and all that...I can only assume people just don't absorb the WHOLE of what I write if they come to such a conclusion...I mean, come on...duh!

So bad on me for not catching the joke, but bad on you, sir, for not clueing me in! ;)

    There is no such thing as a bad infant only bad parents.{infants don't know they are being bad}

    Question to those that think a child should be a certain age as to remember they were there. At what age would you suggest having a birthday party for a child since none of them will remember at the very least the first few?

    But as a parent you can take pictures and have the long lasting memory of the child excitingly tearing into a piece of cake and making a huge mess much the same as watching the wild eyed amazement of a child seeing a huge castle or one of their favorite stuffed toys come alive right in front of them. As a parent or grandparent you cant put a price on that.

    I guess not really knowing you, X, it was within the realm of reality that you might really do the above and find nothing wrong with it. Perhaps if you'd said that you normally change your infant in the centers, except for those hot days when you let him wander around naked and poop in the bushes, then I would have seen the joke. In any case, I'll be sure to look for the humor next time!!!

    :)
