It's kids that have their own *all inclusive* touch screen Droid or whatever that bugs me. My grand niece was given one by her non-custodial father (little competition thing methinks) at 8 I believe.

As a teacher it is near impossible to keep the kids off those things. And if you confiscate them, more often than not; you get in trouble.

The best experiences I've had on Mansion are when it feels like you're in there with a group of people who are experiencing it for the first time. That is awesome.
I'm one who likes to take in attractions free from guest input I guess.
I recently got on Small World, assigned to seat 4, and the couple in front of me stepped into 4 rather than 3 as directed. The CM just left 'em, I was cool by it, no harm, no foul.
Until they proceeded to talk, loudly, throughout the whole ride. I would have preferred to be behind them.
Okay, so I don't lose sleep over these pet peeves, but that's what they are. :)

I've often said it should be illegal while walking, too. I will stop (and not in the middle of the walkway) to text if needed. Or I will do it in line if I have no one to talk to.

I've found though, the more I text the faster my battery dies, and it's usually before 1pm. So I try to not use my phone too much while in the parks.

I sure don't, so texting or talking after the second drop is impossible.

I admit I may use my phone as a camera in the ride, but I quickly shut off the screen.

But I'm a single mom and while I work at her school, she does after school activities or goes to the Boys and Girls Club after school. They won't let the kids use the phone for anything.

She has to earn her time on it, and I've been a little more lenient since it's summer, but during the school year, I would hold it until after school. There was no way she would be allowed to have it during school hours (unless I had the day off for a dr appointment or something).

And when we're out, it's put away. It's for emergencies only when we're together as a family (separation, etc.)

I can imagine when my daughter is older, I'll want to know wherever she is she's able to be reached at anytime with a simple phone call.

I agree also, i find the worst place for stupidity is customer service. Fast food places and such are the worst for trying to deal with the employees.

While tryingto be pleasent and maintain good costomer sevice with efficiency to boot. That is a hard thing to do and not everyone willhave the same experience. Not everyone gets things right when moving at such a fast pace, but they do put in a hard effort. I feel more badly for the employees at those places and always try to keep that in mind. It's hard to deal with people in the general public somtimes espcially when you work fast food. Ive never worked fast food but I can only imagine how hard it is to serve so many many people of all different orders that are put in and all different attitudes people in general have weather theyare pleasent or unpleasent. Keeping kindess is the key.

And then (lowering his voice) "I mean, you know, they work fast food." The implication was people that work fast food counters are just a little bit less competent than the rest of us, an opinion I don't happen to share. If you accept bad service, and expect bad service, you get what you deserve. They made an error and I called them on it. To excuse an error because the worker "can't do any better" is insulting to that worker.

The quality of job applicants available to fill the positions at fast food restaurants also comes into play here, but it is a lagging indicator.
