Philly played hard and I give them credit - but a few well deserved penalty calls and this is NOT a one goal game.

Nonetheless, one down, three to go, and the Blackhawks will have shown the Cubs how it's done.

Both teams let their keepers down ..Flyers should have skated harder in the third earlier, they didn't and they lost break or no break, in away the non call made up for the non calls on a few penalties... this could go in 4 , in 5, jn 6 , or in 7 games by ethier team, we just don;t know ...we only can guess...

Originally Posted By SingleParkPassholder "Carcillo- what a moron ! first two hits he takes out the boards and his own guy -- while he does his Charlie Manson look alike.." Couldn't agree more. A pathetic attempt by the Flyers to gain an advantage. What they got instead was a rather poor imitation of the Broad Street Bulies, more like the Keystone Kops. "I really love watching a flyer in the crease piling on Niemi and kneeing him in the back of the head twice while the ref watches intently from behind and does nothing..." No kidding. I think Eddie O was laughing about the fact no one caught it, but he said something like "that's what they've come to", or something like that. Two down, two to go. Roll over, Lloyd Pettit.

Niemi stellar though in period 3 - the funny thing SPP on the knee job going on- was the announcers were raving what great position the ref had for the goal call-- too bad he chose to ignore that. Bring in Huet and this is a different series - trust me

It is easy to call a game from the couch, absolutely the Ref saw everything , he saw the puck was loose , he saw the puck enter the net, he also saw what was coming so he blew it down..other wise it would have been a tie game...the announcers on tsn are rubbage, the announcers from Chicago calls it like it is... Hawks had no business winning last night, they were really dominated, they brought very little to the table in this one..Believe you me , they are still been told that right now... they scored the first from a leighton poor decision. They scored the second on a very poorly played shot by leighton... Philly scored because of a flukey happening in front of the net.. The Hawks will only have their A game working , if Philly lets them.. The Flyers will only be successful on their A game if they get the puck up, they kept it low, had great shots , but Niemi is great down low, so, what more is there to say....

The good news for Hawks fans is they bring their A game more ften than not on the road- at home lately, not so much...so I am expecting a much better effort-- and possibly a sweep. HOWEVER, if they do not bring their A game to Philly they will get beaten.. as you are correct, they were outplayed yesterday - especially for the last 20 minutes... they need to stop reading their press clippings and play the way they can] And yes Eddie Olczek - may be a former Hawk ( and I am sure he is rooting for them) but he has called these two games for what they were...
