Thanks for the Dollar store heads up.
Hey, I was at my local Disney Store and they had tons of new cars stuff.
I got them Cars plate sets(cup, bowl, plate). Well, not for our trip, for home.
They had a Lightning McQueen costume for $50! I got mine at target for $29.99, it's not as big as the Disney Store one, but I don't want to pay $50.
I might check out Target for that journal book so i can use it as a travel journal. Target also had lavender journal books with Pooh in the $1 section. I got those for my boys to doodle in with their cars light-up pens.
Today I got a plain red folder at Target to hold all of my LP DL tips and travel info in etc. I started an excel spread sheet and every time I come across great tips about FP startegy, Dining, Discounts etc I copy and paste it into one of my tabs. So before weleave on MONDAY (YAY!) I can print it and put it in my folder.
I booked ressies for Super Shuttle today to pick us up at the airport. Now it feels like we're really going!
I'm going to put cute Disney stickers on it, my family will tease me but I don't care.

LOL..given enough time, you'll end up like me with a red binder! I've had my "Disney" binder for years now. It has all my tips, planning notes, etc.

Also, it has a view front where I put all the important phone numbers so that I have immediate access to them. (i.e. Disney reservations, Disney Dining, Disney Vacation Planning, Credit Card emergency number, etc.)

Speaking of cameras, I normally take 2GB with me to take photos. I am a photo fiend! So excited tho, because I just bought a new camera from Costco and it should be arriving TODAY! I currently have the big Canon G6, 7 megapixel, which I totally LOVE...BUT..its too bulky everytime we go to Disneyland. I have it in a case, then I have that case inside my backpack. As many pictures as I take...I am constantly spending half my time just getting it out! LOL..luckily, I just got a huge bonus at work (which is paying for our DL vacation..thanks to my wonderful bosses) and decided to "splurge" a little on myself and just bought the new Canon Powershot SD600. The only problem is now I have to buy new media because it takes a different format from my original Canon.

As soon as I get home from vacation, I love taking the photos and making music videos with them. I can recommend a couple of great programs if anyone is interested. Watching the older videos from past trips is another GREAT way to pass the time waiting for your new trip! Plus, it is great family bonding time as you reminisce.

At Xmas I buy things early then stash them away. Our 1st Xmas with my youngest I kept pulling gifts out of the closet that I forgot about. My husband couldn't believe how much I bought! Now I keep a running list of everything.
I know what you mean, I can't sleep at night either! I think of things I want to plan for the trip, etc.
Another tip i read elsewhere was to make copies of your park hopper ticket. if you lose it they can re-issue another ticket.
Don't know if that is completely true in every case. But, better afe than sorry.

Mickeynewe- Do you also bring a camcorder to DL? I'm debating whether I want to bring our camcorder too. It's 5 years old and pretty big by today's standard.
I willmostly take photos but i would love to be able to watch the video when we are craving a DL trip!

Nope! They won't do this. My son's friend lost his in June on the 1st day of the 3-day hopper. We knew the number was either the one before or after my son's ticket because I bought them together. We went to City Hall, who said sorry but nothing they can do but send us to Lost and Found. Lost and Found took the information and said they would call us if someone turned it in. We had to buy a new park-hopper. No one ever turned it in.

I make "videos" out of still photos choregraphed to music using a program called Muvee audoProducer. It works great! I think use a program called Ulead Video Studio to mix these videos I make with the camcorder video and blend them into a movie. On its own, Muvee is worth the price to just make movies with your stills! I love both programs and find them easy to work with. You can download a free trial of Muvee, however it limits you to only 50 photos per video unless you purchase the full version. The full version is very much worth the price IMHO.
