Also, since it seems to be used only by people with opinions similar to yours and follows such a set pattern, I highly suspect that some noise machine element uses it to excess, and that this the underlying source of it appearing here.

Oh, sometimes gay male characters are "best friends", like the fat girls. But lesbians are almost always evil or end up dying. Things are getting better but we're not quite there yet.
