I went to college in North Philadelphia, certainly not the best of neighborhoods (the local beer distributor had more security than most banks). Anyway, at the corner of Broad and Olney was a massive White Castle. The place looked like it did quite a business. I never ate there though. I couldn't handle the thought of passing up an Explorer's Den cheesesteak or Mario's pizza for a White Castle burger. The only time we'd venture up that way on foot was to catch Septa (the subway).

I think parents are partly at fault here... they need to say "NO!" to their kids in regards to what they are eating. Remember, it's not Disney's fault if they sell this garbage in their parks...they only think of the money to be made thru those affiliations, and do NOT think/care about your health.

See, the very first Red Robin was just across the University bridge from the University of Washington in Seattle. Used to eat there ALL THE TIME. So I still just consider it our little 'ol regional chain. Yeah, they had been around for forever when I was eating at the one in Seattle, and we have them in Phoenix.

I don't know that the cross-promotional agreement was terminated so much as simply reached it's end and not renewed.

It was originally a 10-year exclusive contract between Disney and McDonald's. Disney got regular promotional space at McDonald's nationwide for their films. McDonald's got to put up food locations on property, and sponsored numerous park attractions.

(Are they looking for the alusive Bronto Burger?). That would be the only thing I would miss if McDonald's was taken out of the park.

McD's hasn't sponsored Dinosaur for a few years now. Not entirely sure, but I think the sponsorship ended right around when the ride name changed. vbdad can confirm for us whe he sees this thread.

I didn't know that. Funnily enough I ate at my first Red Robin yesterday in Bellevue, WA. As a veggie I thoroughly enjoyed my garden burger. Excellent service too.

Ann, McDs sponsor the entire land. That includes the Dig Site, Dinosaur and the Theater in the Wild.

I believe that they are both company-owned and operated. I think the first one popped up in Jan '97.
