" Covered that in the other thread. You were asked to prove exactly what you said. They were not presented as opinion originally, and you were asked to prove your assertion. THEN you tried to say it was just opinion. Don't think we don't see through you. "Dsyhates' posts and backup are more believable than your post without backup." "Thanks for proving my point. He turned out to be the worst president of my lifetime, and I'm pushing 50. But I've voted for more Republicans than Democrats in my lifetime, and my worldview is probably closer to yours than dshyates'. So don't presume, Bub. The crucial difference, which I put in there and you even freaking reprinted (!), was that dshyates backed up his post and you didn't. That's not a double standard.

My daughter is now voting age and came of age with Bush and DeLay and Cheney and Lott and she wants to know how her mother and I could ever have voted for Republicans ever. I tried to explain they aren't all that bad!

Originally Posted By inlandemporer <You were asked to prove exactly what you said.> "No, I wasn't, and endless assertions to the contrary aren't going to prove I did." You can deny reality until the cows come home, but you were quoted exactly, and the rest of it is there for anyone to see. <I'm a moderate, Bub.> "And yet you always agree with the liberals here, and never with any conservatives." I don't hang out here that much, and it's likely I haven't posted on topics where my opinions would be more to your liking. But on Bush? Yeah, on him I'll agree with the liberals here. And the moderates here. And some of the Republicans here. You know, the 70-75% of the public who knows he's a terrible president. As with my jumping to a conclusion on dshyates, which at least I admitted, if all you're looking at is an opinion of Bush, it would be easy for a moderate to look liberal. <dshyates backed up his post and you didn't> "Well, no, but I understand why you think so, since you're such a moderate." Simple fact. dshyates posted his opinion, and links to articles that illustrated his points, one on Comey and another on the Qwest CEO. All you posted was your opinion, but nothing to back it up.
