We usually park my wife on one end of the row and me on the other end of the kids with my 11 year old boy two seats over from me. This way if I need to, I can be prepared to take one child out and my 11 year old fill in my spot as goal tender while I am gone. People just need to respect other people is all it boils down to and that parent who let the kid cry or fuss or talk or whatever it was during the entire movie is being totally disrespectful of everyone else.

Not only are they illegal, like I said, they're quite expensive. Maybe they should start building theatres underground so no signal can get through. ;-) I have to have mine with me at all times, and I wish it weren't so. I just try to be considerate about it.

Amazingly, I'd say that brat was maybe 4 or 5, and the little 2 or so year old in front of us who was loud during previews got very quiet during the movie....
