I'll still manage to enjoy my time at the park. Seeing the inside of Club 33 isn't exactly on my bucket list. Never given it a 2nd thought while at the park.

I had a meal in Club 33 a few years ago, before anybody was talking about the redo. A huge part of the appeal to me was the history of place and the direct links to the past. The redone club looks lovely, but like any vaguely-themed hotel bar/restaurant in the country; the links to the past are still there, but it just doesn't hold the mystique. Even if I'd enjoy myself, I don't particularly feel like I need to see the inside of it

I agree that the redo didn't leave an ideal NOS behind (at least from the photos I've seen), but being able to see inside the windows doesn't bother me too much. It's more that the windows are completely out of scale, there are extraneous 2nd story overhangs everywhere, and a ridiculous number of overhead bridges. I don't care what goes on inside the club or how big or visible it is if you know where to look, but it seems like they could have done a much better job applying the architectural style to the outside. It's like they used decorators instead of architects to design it

Now if you will excuse me, I am going over to the jealous nobody's who drive Fords website.

Furthermore, even with the mediocre details and awkward re-positioning of some second floor spaces to accommodate Club 33's expansion, the recent changes are from the worst aesthetic changes that the park has ever seen. DL has bigger challenges to address than an offset window that the average guest won't even notice.

Now it's "in your face," or at least much more obviously so than before.

Having not seen it in person I can't say how much more "in your face" it seems to me, but that was the point, I think.

My post, however, which SPP quoted, only addressed another member's adolecent jealousy over not being allowed into Club 33. Not the visibility of the new club (I guess it's OK to see "rich people" when they're standing next to you in line for Splash, but when said rich people are seen at an exclusive club, the "real world" intrudes?).

Again, I haven't seen it so I don't know how it would hit me, but I get what they're saying.
