Perhaps I wouldn't feel so left out if Blue Bayou served alcohol, but it galls me that it is a privilege reserved for the chosen few. It's not so much jealousy, it just isn't right.

There you go, exactly. Walt Disney expressly wanted a place where one could forget the outside world and all it brought to a person, good, bad or indifferent. For the longest time no one knew it was there and even when people found out, it was still behind a rather unassuming door next to Blue Bayou that was easily overlooked. Over the years, Club 33 became well known, but yet the vast majority of people never saw it. Contrary to some people's assumptions, not only am I NOT on any waiting list, I have no desire to ever go there. It just doesn't interest me. So forget about any adolescent jealousy. However, perception IS reality for most people, and now we can all see the select few who actually get inside Club 33. While the intention may not have been to rub people's faces in it, what just about everyone will think who sees these people is "they're in there and I likely never will be". Yet another reminder of the class separation that grows each day among our population, and now it's always on display at Disneyland, something Walt Disney expressly said he didn't want there.

It's $11K a year annual membership. Originally Posted By believe "It is about having a wonderful place smack in the middle of NOS that only allows rich people inside." Actually, you don't have to be rich to go inside. You just have to know someone who can get you inside. Or work for a company that has membership who can get their employees in.
