One of the things that really bothers me in the image Dabob is the buffet station, which looks straight out of a 1970s era Sizzler. And don't even get me started on the linens and decorations on the table across from it. Holy smokes Batman.

The staircase is a great example of what happens when design meets safety issues. The original concept art depicted a curved sort of second railing, but safety-wise you want something that is more uniform in terms of fall prevention. The lights are low-voltage Stone Manor ones, makes sense as you don't want little guests to pull out a bulb and get a shock, they're from the Golden Opal connection, and it's been a bit of trick pulling the wiring for it. http://www.stonemanorlighting....primrose $675 a pop, you probably already know that Stone Manor lights were purchased for the an area near the NOS bathroom some years ago. The rest of the metal is being patina-ed to match the Stone Manor stuff. I like the Stone Manor style, and it matches the other Stone Manor NOS stuff so I'm fine with it. >>>The only thing that really bothers me is the off center window. What idiot built that?<<< The window is placed so that the chandelier behind it is perfectly centered, expect some nice photo-ops for Club 33 brochures. Predictably and laughably, Miceage always slams changes in the park, from the new, and lavishly themed Fantasy Faire where guests now have a properly themed area to meet all the princesses, to the work done on Alice, as well as bashing the alley project which they don't know anything about. The NOS additions look great to my eyes, the blue lights will provide a nice nightime accent, and it blends perfectly with the rest of NOS. The large windows might also get curtains, and flowers might be added to certain areas. If you go to the park 59 billion times a year, anything new sticks out like a sore thumb, but it really is in the same style as the rest of NOS. Everything announced today will surprise the Miceage crew, to say the least.

It's a nice touch, IMO. If the bridge was lavishly decorated, it would stand out. Sometimes less is more.

Anyone who has an ounce of design sensibility can see that the changes to New Orleans Square are absolutely horrendous, tantamount to the desecration of fine artwork. The work has to be the most shoddy design work I've ever seen, and certainly far, far below the Disney standards we've come to expect. The only thing that is "laughable" are the Disney apologists who continue to laud the utter destuction of what used to be the most evocative, most layered and most intricately-themed and immersive land yet created for a theme park.

Your self righteousness is pretty laughable too tbh.

They can't just stop mid arch, can they? I hope not. I first thought I would like the Court of Angels gates. No. Seeing them in context, they're pretty unattractive to my taste. The club itself looks amazing--but I do not like the stairway modifications. I guess I should be grateful that my last dinner at the club will surely be my last visit ever? I adore the flooring and the piano. And the blue lights? They look stupid. Stupider than the fake candle lights? I can't say.

First they took away the gallery and now the court of angles. The outside changes do not even match the land! Did no one do their research? and instead of honoring the history and legacy of walt disney with club 33 they took out pretty much anything that had meaning. I am so sad that they took the glass elevator and turned it into a booth for one! what a loss of wonderful history! And now the club looks like a deck/room of the titanic instead of a wonderul, rich, secluded area. The mystic of this club and land has been lost.

I don't think that the average guest would notice the changes on the exteriors in NOS, some might be a plus such as a new bridge which will provide some cover during rain, as well as a visual barrier in that area of NOS so you don't feel like the whole land is on the river. The additional window space is a good idea, what once was a stuffy area of the park is now more light and airy. There's a definitely a more european flavor to the additions, more of a French influence, sort of built in the style of the French pavilion in Epcot. Anyway . . . the First Aid building is being demolished, looks like traffic won't be routed between First Aid and the Plaza Inn, but an opening the Alley between the new First Aid and the Baby Center. Maybe we'll get that alley-side Starbucks service window we've all been dreaming of, ;-)
