Their precious guns sure didn't the freedom killing Patriot Act. Heck, as a group they supported it. What it's really all about is the scary black man in the White House. And they oppose him because he's black. Not because of the NDAA he signed into law nor the use of drones, of that I haven't heard a peep out of them, so I can only assume they approve of that.
