Ron Paul is against the death penalty. Even the Wikipedia page you apparently looked up says it in plain English.

Based on what I'm seeing now that may be an old statement made prior to 2008 when he said that he opposes it due tot he mistakes.

I, OTOH, oppose it because I'm not God and I don't get to see if other people live or die.

Defense lawyers would love me on a capital punishment case.

You aren't God so you can't judge a man and send him to death (well, not you but a jury), but you are God-enough to terminate a fetus?

I'm pro-choice and anti-death penalty as well, but not because of some moral hangup, but because of verifiable mistakes. I feel perfectly fine sending a man to death with a confession and a video tape. But then again, I'm wondering about the possible mistakes being made in regard to abortion too.

In any case, they're both homicide, no doubt, but justifiable under the right circumstances.

And that's where we part. I don't think two wrongs make a right. Lock 'em up forever, sure. Don't kill 'em.

I feel the two wrongs (illegitimate pregnancy and killing a fetus) makes a right (society won't have to inevitably support the unwanted child).

Sorry if I have to spell out for you that right after I say two wrongs don't make a right followed by lock them up forever, I'm not talking about fetuses, but instead actual human beings who have been on this earth 18 or more years - however old you have to be in order to be subjected to state-sponsored murder.

I seriously doubt that you'd make it that far...........one has to be death penalty qualified. But then again if given the opportunity you could always lie(harbor a secret agenda) to get on a jury and then do your 'thang' come deliberation time.
