Its not a problem if you want to go, BUT, its the N. Koreans who make it impossible like hell to actually go . And yes, my friend, also American, tried to go to Iran around the same time. No problem on the U.S. end, but the Iranians denied his VISA application lol. So he couldnt go, oh well.
