    If Panetta has intelligence, integrity, and managerial skills -- and if his vision for the CIA is in line with Obama's -- then he is a great pick. Abilities and sensibilities are more important than experience in this case.

    gadzuux makes a great point: It was Bush's blatant disregard of CIA intel that has put the US in such an ugly place. But I also think the past eight years have provided ample evidence that there's a need for major "change" within the CIA. 9/11 convinced me of that.
