As I said, I'm just pretty confident that they would lose. I'm also relieved that, even with the word order mixup, the sentence is still grammatically sound as well. I really don't see how one could argue that the meaning was altered in any way whatsoever (thus I really don't think the second swearing in was necessary at all...it just added to the mess I think).
