    I wasn't trying to educate him - I think he's well beyond that. In addition, one reason that progress will never be made with him is that I highly suspect that his actual motivations are never discussed in the posts he makes. So, no amount of discussion on the issues at hand will affect him, as they're only secondary considerations to what his real agenda is.

    But getting back to your comment, the purpose of post 6 was to set the record straight. Someone brought up this issue in a highly slanted manner, and if left unchecked this sort of thing over time can have a negative affect even on people that don't realize what is happening. As a secondary benefit, if others in the thread actually learn something, that's even better. I certainly appreciate when I learn from others around here on something I didn't know much about before.
