It's entirely possible I've missed something, however, so if it's really true can you cite specific policies he is proposing along with links where I can check out those proposals in detail?

Yes, we were attacked. Yes, it was bad. One single planned attack is no reason to change the way we go about policing the world. Like it or not, this is a police action. Not a declared "War". "The War on Terror" is a marketing ploy, not a definition.
And I love how they imply that by restoring Habeas Corpus and having people like Osama bin Laden tried in court to face his crimes, that he will somehow be let free.

    Exactly.

He can't be much more free than he is now, seeing as all these years later he's still on the loose.

Nope. That's why politicians can't be allowed to frame the discussion that way.

9/11 should have provided a new perspective, not a new GOP power grab.

    But we aren't, you know.

Specifically, the GOP republican right-wingers are not doing so.

Ask yourself why only 20 percent of the resources are actually being devoted to the "war on terror", the actual hunting down and capturing of real terrorists in Afghanistan.

It's too late. The terrorists have already won. Our Constitution has been peed on. Our stature in the world has been diminished more than I ever thought possible. We all have to go through time consuming BS every time we get on a plane. It is almost impossible to imagine the billions and billions of dollars that the U.S. has spent in response to 9/11.

We need to stop being so scared of a bunch of two-bit terrorists.

    What do you expect.

The indoctrination began way back in 1991, for heavens' sake!

If you don't actually HAVE a powerful, frightening enemy...invent one.

    Right?

That is absolutely nonsensical. We don't have to apologize for being attacked. Logic obviously isn't your strong suit.

No, we would be apologizing for being evil-doers. We had all the world behind us cheering us on in our retailliation efforts. until we started rounding up innocent people, torturing, killing, and holding them indefinitely.
