You're being obtuse. The point been made twice already: The appearance of the POTUS at the Magic Kingdom is a win for Disney.

    LOL.

That said...yeah, the tour groups can be annoying as all get-out. Just like Pop Warner and the cheerleaders. Any group of kids that age of any culture, bound to be issues.

Later on in the day, we were taking pictures and the same people got in the way and ruined our pictures.
I told a cast member but he couldn't care less.
They are the rudest people that I have met in WDW.

Unfortunately even if he did care, he couldn't do anything.

CMs are basically powerless against them.

Not those words exactly, but you did imply just that when you stated "It's not a coup at all" several posts back.

Can we assume by your response in #42 above that you finally grasp the point, or was that another sly attempt to avoid giving a straight answer?

It's not a "coup". Coup implies they pried him away from another company or place.

I've gotten the point from the very minute I started the thread. You've just been dedicated to being an ass since your first reply, like usual.

Sure it does. No matter who they are, American or foreign, if they're rude, they should be punished.

So that excuses other people's behaviour? That's a cop out. If you're rude and ruining other people's times, you deserve to be reprimanded for it.

I am surprised they are not doing more attract the Chinese to WDW. They go overseas to shop. I saw a segment on World Focus where the Chinese go on shopping tours to places like the UK, where they load up on Burberry items and Clarks shoes (which are made in China).

Of course, I don't know if they'd want to spend their money on the crap that "Disney Parks" sells.

You might want to take a moment and consult an online dictionary on the meaning of "coup" in the context of my post.

"You've just been dedicated to being an ass since your first reply, like usual."

Here we go with the uncivil personal attacks. I guess it takes an ass to know one, since you were the one who started the argument with your virtual eye rolling. It's time for me to leave this discussion.

It was last week (it seems like my vacation was a lot longer ago than that!) on Star Tours, my party of 3 ended up in a cabin that was almost entirely Brazilians. From what I could tell, they were all traveling in groups of about 5-10, and didn't appear to know the other groups, but all spoke Portugese. There was some confusion getting assigned seating rows, but after that, everything was fine and dandy.

And while the attraction was nothing particularly memorable (I'm not a huge fan of the new version), their reactions to it made it a lot of fun. Lot of excitement and reactions to the stuff on the screen. I guess I could see how some of their stuff could get old after a while (and I didn't experience any chanting at all), but my experience with that specific group was great, and it really made my day more fun and memorable.

As for Obama's trip, I'm surprised it hasn't happened sooner. Michelle has done a ton of really well-done healthy lifestyle PSA's on Disney Channel (they're my favorite thing about this Administration), so it seems like such a logical connection. I know she's been to WDW with the girls at least once in the past couple years, but the partnership just seems really obvious to me. Not sure what will actually be announced though.

The vast majority I've run into while working or as a guest have been rude and inconsiderate, yes.

But the brazilian family (parents and kids only) it´s like any other family group (american or foreign).

I don´t know but in the 80´s and 90´s the old brazilian tour agencies did have a kind of lecture for the tourism groups before the trip. But since most of them went bankrupt after 9/11 attacks Brazil lost their best and traditional agencies formed with the traditional Disney values. At that time Disney did have a team dedicated to the theme parks and resorts at our Disney offices in São Paulo.
