It is very common to ask questions like, "How can we help the principal?" or "How can we help the janitor?" after discussing an issue like doing well in school or keeping the classroom clean.

That's controversial stuff.

It IS encouraging to see people like wahooskipper be reasonable about it all, but what I'd like to see is the wahooskippers of the world run the Darkbeers of a cliff and out of the GOP. It's divisive and hurts everyone. Enough of this crap.

And it's courtesy of the leadership of your party, who have made the strategic decision to oppose everything that has the name Obama attached to it and to sign on to any wack-job theory that goes against him, regardless of what it is. In so doing, they gamble the well-being of their country so they can regain the majority in 2010. I've given up pretending to be civil (as you may have noticed). What good will it do? You can't be bipartisan when your opponent is insane. I'm pretty sure we're headed to the point where people like you, WahooSkipper, are going to realize that your party, as a whole, no longer stands for the same things or holds the same beliefs you do. That their entire existence is based on mass manipulation rather than Conservative values or a love of their country. I hope there will be a moderate Conservative party to replace the GOP for people like yourself. I fear that time is going to come in the middle of a terrible economic crisis, much worse than anything we've seen so far, and when that happens, it might be too late to solve the problems sensibly. The Base is too worked up and too irrational to deal with any crisis constructively, and the GOP just keeps fanning the flames. This thing of vocally, publicly turning their backs on the duly elected government is one step away from attempting a violent revolution. Why show up to a town hall meeting with a gun unless you intend to intimidate someone? I hope it doesn't come to that, and it certainly doesn't need to. But I still think you should be prepared to choose whose side you'll be on when the shooting starts. Obama's or Glenn Beck's. I believe DB has already chosen, which explains my attitude toward him. I refuse to feign respect to traitors.
