Somehow there wasn't enough clearance for them to spin around properly so they had to tear off part of the floor to avoid them cars getting stuck. Many times i got stuck inside SE waiting for them to fix that little problem...and yet, i never got the chance to evacuate the ride the back way down stairs or elevators. I did have to evacuate out of UOE on opening day as it broke down due to "tech difficulties" as usual. Needless to say, very little appears to have changed in the last 20 years of EPCOT Center's existence. One notable exception is the Journey Into Messy Imagination, where the ride systems has been greatly improved and moves rather smoothly compared to what it used to be.

A friend of mine who worked the opening of Epcot told me that the song was added in 1986, for the rehab. Somehow I thought the song was there from the begining, but I now see I was wrong.
