So TDLFAN was the ride system as rough when it first opened. My first trip wasn't until 1996 and every seem in the track could be felt!

There was no song at the end at all nor was there a visual showing the shadows of children at play as your vehicle wound its way down.

Somehow there wasn't enough clearance for them to spin around properly so they had to tear off part of the floor to avoid them cars getting stuck. Many times i got stuck inside SE waiting for them to fix that little problem...and yet, i never got the chance to evacuate the ride the back way down stairs or elevators. I did have to evacuate out of UOE on opening day as it broke down due to "tech difficulties" as usual. Needless to say, very little appears to have changed in the last 20 years of EPCOT Center's existence. One notable exception is the Journey Into Messy Imagination, where the ride systems has been greatly improved and moves rather smoothly compared to what it used to be.

I just called guest services and it will be open during my visit. It's funny too, he was looking at his computer and said he didn't have anything (except Maelstrom) for the next few months and there was even anything on his "internet rumours" screen. Ha! I didn't know they had that info! I told him that maybe he should add one now. ;)
