I have a couple of teacher friends here and they both moved from public to private in recent years and they love it. so maybe this change will end up being good. I am shocked at the money though b/c I thought private paid better than public.

Because of the economy, we're down 30 students for next year, how long can we continue. Some people would rather drive an Escalade than pay tuition. But many of our parents are really scraping to send their children to us. The local public school is not a good choice.

    Nikki, my cousin-in-law was just laid off from her teaching job as well. She's Mormon so the Lutherin school would be different as well.

    I attended private school for my elementary years and public school for my high school years. The public school I attended was (and still is) one of the best high schools in the state. I got a great education there. Unfortunately, not all public schools offer the same level of education.

There was a terrible decline in the qualiity of education between the first and third child. So my fourth went Catholic School, and I ended up working there. IMHO the decline was due to a large invasion of people who where interested in drug pushing and receiving wellfare.
    My Catholic school has a large number of immigrants from Pakistan, Lebanon, Tahiti. These are classy hard working non-Catholics who would rather have their children receive a Catholic education than be exposed to garbage in the local public school.

    Me to, I was very disappointed that I never heard them play Desert Rose on my last trip. They have a different belly dancer now too. Plus they have a larger stage area across the walk way on the right of the Moroccan pavilion now.

    After all these trips I have yet to catch Mulch, Sweat, and Shears at the Studios. I hear they are great though.
