The CrestForest picture (10/16) doesn't look that bad. That would be a pretty average snow day here in Colorado. The road looks fairly clean.

Amen. The right kind of tires helps too. Most all season touring tires perform poorly in the snow.

Here in Colorado I-70 climbs as high as 11,000 feet and its very rare for it to close.

Ahem, I am a Californian, but I lived in NJ for 34 years. I know how to drive in it all.

It is kinda funny though when we get snow & watching people (even semi's) trying to climb the hills in 2 wheel drive. Riiiight.

There was a 32 car accident on Saturday morning in Marin just north of SF that was caused by snow.

What is up with our Bay Area weather!? We should be getting excited for spring, not pelted with hail like I was in Walnut Creek today!

But these highways close anytime there is a small bit of snow.

Oh, and it snowed on the beach in Santa Cruz too. But there was alos snow on the beach out here on the Washington coast too.

I live in an appartment and my neighboor has the same van as I do, so when your van is covered in 3 inches of snow having your Mickey on your antena really helps. You wouldn't want to start to scrap off snow on a car that wasn't yours. Then have to do it all over again.
