He's also said that he "went too fast" and that he still wants to implement every one of the funky four he tried to foist upon us. Now that he has absolutely nothing standing in his way, I think we'll see his true, far right, colors. Once again, I hope I'm wrong on this, but I seriously doubt it.

Fortunately, it looks like extremist right-wing regressive McClintock will NOT be Lt. Governor, so Schwarzenegger can't allow that coup d'etat to happen (i.e., Schwarzenegger resigns, leaving McClintock in power).

I just can't vote for a person whose name sounds so close to poison. Poisoner? Scary!

If he ever wants to be elected to anything else, he won't.

Some of the things he proposed weren't half bad. They were all couched in sharp rhetoric, and a couple of the things targeted average people.

He'll either learn, or be kicked out of politics at the end of this term. Or maybe even recalled. He knows its quite possible.

They are just as guilty of this as the Republicans are. Maybe that's why Joe Lieberman moved to Independent status.

Spin it, baby. The dittoheads need to hear this nonsense more than ever this morning.

Their campaign messages were 1) We're not Democrats; which got them no where. 2) We will not raise taxes; meanwhile they are out spending money like drunken sailors on things like a toilet museum and a bridge to no where. 3) We will keep you safe; while doing nothing to protect our nations borders.

I was referring to comments like the end of strong partisanship, and hopefully they will be able to work together, that sort of thing. I think that's what people want to hear out of their government, not that those people over there with a D behind their name are out to destroy America.

I don't see any gloating. They are trying to look like people who feel they have a job to do. Republicans have taken to this as if it were some sort of petty children's game. It's not a game, it's running the United States of America, and the Republicans have ignored that small little part of the equation.

There is a toilet museum? Where?

I still say the reason why the Republicans Reps and Senators lost is because they have been almost entirely ineffective in regards to domestic issues and policy.

The American voter felt they were not being heard by the White House. So yesterday the American voters sent the White House a message the only way they could. Its a little late for the White House to start listening to the "pulse" of the nation.

I think it's far more important for the Commander in Chief to have a plan in Iraq than for Congress to have one. This idea that the Democrats should have a plan for Iraq will be important for the 2008 election, but right now their job is to make sure that Bush's plan is effective and reasonable.

    From <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/11/08/pelosi.speaker/index.html" target="_blank">http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITI
    CS/11/08/pelosi.speaker/index.html</a>

Pelosi has said that in the first 100 hours of her speakership she will push for action implementing all 9/11 Commission recommendations on national security, raising the minimum wage to $7.25. eliminating corporate subsidies for oil companies, allowing the government to negotiate Medicare drug prices, imposing new restrictions on lobbyists, cutting interest rates on college loans and supporting embryonic stem-cell research.

As for Iraq, Pelosi and the Democrats have yet to explicitly outline their plan for U.S. involvement in the region, but unlike many of her counterparts, Pelosi voted against authorizing the war.

And what about the persnickety allegation that she will skipper tax hikes through the House? Sure she will, said the shoo-in speaker.

"We will revisit the tax cuts at the high end in order to give tax cuts to the middle class," she said.

I'm fine with all these, but you know something valuable is going to be lost in all this.
