The recent upgrades are a good thing, in my opinion. The attraction is finally begining to catch up the technological advances. I welcome the changes.

When I was little, before the changes, the attic was like the core of the ride. It was the part where, for little me, things went from the spooky/ fantastic to really scary! That was back when heads screamed and the bride was more spectral with those two glowing eyes! Still gives me the creeps to think about, but the changes ("I do") really tamed that scene. I wonder how this new, murderous bride will look.

One odd thing about this one, though, is that it does alter the Bride's status. Originally (way back in the day), she represented the jilted Bride who was left at the altar. After that traumatic event (so the story goes), she locked herself away in the Mansion and died there. So-- she would have been a sympathetic character. Her appearance all these years, though, was always sort of strangely malevolent. And adding a string of dead husbands will definitely make her more of a female version of Blue Beard. Talk about PC...
