I guess I don't see it being much further than the other resorts in that area (Port Orleans, Old Key West) so I don't think I'd mind it. Beside, since you are so close to DTD transportation to other resorts would be much more convenient.

We ate at Goody's (?) instead, out on the pier, and it was nice. k

The last time I ate there at Olivia's was about three years ago, and I had some type of ribs. Ribs are a very interesting item on any menu. They are OFTEN patted with a dry rub and grilled, broiled, or baked twice, which is customary. But very often they are left to get cold and then reheated with a gallon of sauce poured over the top of them before serving. Ribs! Beef spare or Pork baby back, feather bones you name it I love them all. The problem is that it is VERY tricky to serve in a restaurant because you cannot possibly cook them to order, they HAVE to be prepared prior to. If you find a restaurant that serves good HOT ribs you can rest assured there is a chef in the kitchen that pays attention to detail and EVERY dish will probably be good and fresh. I try ribs at most any place that serves them unless they serve Fried Chicken, and time after time after time they come to the table either barely warm or outright COLD!!! I do not go back to restaurants that serve ribs cold, or barely warm. Its a major fault and it tells me that things aren't exactly what they should be back there in the ol galley. NOTE: Rain Forrest Cafe is notorious for serving Mojo Bones COLD! I have gotten them this way in both Orlando locations. Anyway, that was the case at Olivia's the last time I ate there. Sorry vbdad, I know you love the place, but I probably won't go back anyway. Now stay at Old Key West? I LOVE THE place! It tops my DVC list with Boardwalk, which by the way is unequalled in food.

I have to admit as much as I love Olivia's, I love Olivia's of 3 -4 years ago a lot more, and with so many choices I am also not sure when I will return either.

As I'm sure you know, bus transportation to Old Key West is not the most convenient on property...

What was a drag for us was it seemed to take FOREVER to get to our stop (the last one -- at the Hospitality House) after we entered the resort. Since the whole resort is a bunch of huge cul-de-sacs, the bus spent a large amount of time going back and forth from one area to another.
