Shoulder tendonitis got the better of him. He competed against all those guys back then - Kurt Thomas, Peter Vidmar, Mitch Gaylord - beat a lot of them in other competitions, but not the Olympics.

Originally Posted By gadzuux I watched 'olympic badminton' the other night on CNBC. Some of the second tier stuff that they run on the cable channels (CNBC/USA/Telemundo) is fun to watch. I also caught some of the 2 on 2 volleyball. If you're just watching the broadcast channel and you have basic cable, take some time to poke around the other options. It's not headline stuff, but still interesting.
