Although I was surprised at how easily Regina admitted the secret and thought her 'actually he goes by Rumplestiltskin' line was a little bit weird.. like I expected her to be more mysterious.. The Jefferson thing.. OK so I still don't know if Emma did send him back through the hat in his episode or not.. it seems he definitely has some kind of magic now. I wasn't suprised that Regina screwed him over again but his reaction to it all was weird.. how did he know Belle was hidden there and who she is? and that janitor man.. clearly the two are in on it together but we still don't know who he is. I liked Rumple's reaction to Belle. I was so past caring about the Fairy tale land that was that I almost wanted to skip past all those scenes.. obviously it gave us answers to Malicifent and the whole how he carried true love into the real world but otherwise yawn. I feel like if there are fairytale flashbacks in season two they will focus on Snow & Charming taking back their kingdoms.. Ok the whole Rumple 'stealing' the true love so Emma couldn't use it for Henry.. I believe Rumple knew all along that all Emma had to do was kiss Henry to break the curse so they didn't need it, however he needed Emma to be desperate enough to go down, face the dragon etc. August.. we didn't see if he returned to human form when the curse broke or not so that is something I'm looking forward to seeing in the new season. I hope he did. The thing I found most surprising was the aftermath of the breaking of the curse. They all seemed to just have this strange little smile and Snow/Charming were the only real big reunion thing we saw.. I didn't expect them to go back to Fairytale land but I expected more of a reaction..you know running to the streets to find each other.. everyone at the hospital seemed to keep going about their business, they didn't rush to thank Emma.. even the nurse/fairy's reaction to Regina was so bland suggesting she finds somewhere to hide?? I thought they would have all mobbed her!! And obviously the ending with Mr Gould bringing magic to the real world.. any predictions??

It was pretty obvious that Henry was going to wake up, Emma just needed to kiss him

Archenemy, though? I would think Rumplestiltskin would fit that description better than Maleficent. I liked that the curse was broken, but NOT that they didn't all return to "Fantasyland" or wherever they're from. I still think the show should have just ended here. Definitely not feeling good about the prospect for a second season.

Also because the whole concept of the show is to see ' every story book character you've ever known' misplaced in the real world. I don't believe they will return permanently until the end of the series.. I still think it would have been better off as a mini series.. Or if the English had done it. This first season was very long winded and way too many pointless storylines were introduced to flesh it out to a full US season.

That actor has been cast as a lead in a series on another network.

I've enjoyed it but some weeks I found myself so frustrated at how slowly it was moving.

I hope this doesn't end up like Lost as I gave up on that in season 2 as I just got bored of not knowing what was going on. So far so good though! It's been nice to finally get to the end of this thread!!!
