Boston has a subway system also. King Midas' daughter (David's wife) was headed to Boston.

At the end of the opening season, I was afraid they were about to paint themselves into a corner of mediocrity, given that the curse was broken. I hope the writers are able to take some of those 'open issues' from the first season (like who is Henry's father and how did they find Henry) and exploit them to strengthen the story.

Speaking of which... I suspect the mystery dude from the season opener is Gold's son, and the postcard was sent by Gold. I also suspect he might be Henry's father, and that's how the sheriff knew where to find him.

Yes, but the logo on the station was from the New York metro. It could just be sloppy set dressing (given that the show has made no reference to anything south of Boston so far), but it's throwing me off a little

They simply dropped that plot while introducing a whole new crop of plots as if hoping the audience had forgotten about previous plots. If this is going to be the future of Once upon a Time, we won't like it one little bit.

I suspect we might be heading that way, Witches. After last night's episode, I'm scratching my head this morning.

Passing through the portal apparently has made Emma stupid. I can't believe she would act as clueless as Aurora, given what she's already accomplished professionally in the real world as a bounty hunter and sheriff. And since Regina doesn't have full control of her magic back in Storybrooke, the writers had to come up with a new evil baddie. So it's Cora. Terrific. A post-menopausal Regina with nothing to lose. I've always liked Barbara Hershey as an actress, but we've already been down this road with her daughter. *yawn*

The part I'm not happy about, as the Witches alluded to, is all the juggling of the subplots. That's when story elements typically get dropped or forgotten.

In Season One, the story focus was split between present day Storybrooke and pre-curse Fairy Tale. That was manageable. But now we have present day Storybrooke, present day Fairy Tale, AND pre-curse Fairy Tale, bouncing from one to the other like a pinball machine.

It feels as though Season Two was written while filming with little planning or forethought, as if the production team didn't expect to have the show renewed. Maybe a more apt title would be, "LOST Upon a Time."

Of course if we weren't so bored on Sunday nights--with nothing better to do--we'd have given up on this series by now. But such is life for us in Morva. It's either 'Lost Upon a Time' or listening to the bull frogs croak...

ORGOCH: Hey! I'd rather hear the bullfrogs than Orwen an' yerself!!

I did think it was kind of clever to have Rumple end up being the crocodile. He's had that scaly appearance for a while now, and with this, it makes some sense. I thought the addition of Captain Hook and Smee was cleverly done.

But...the other plotlines maybe not so much. Not sure I like the Belle storyline. They really are adding the Disney touches to it. Belle liking books? Only in the Disney version, that I know of. He gave her the library...hmmm...

I don't mind those details, actually, it does tie them in to the Disney versions many people know. I just hope they tie up all these threads.

Oh, and Skinner, you're right about it getting confusing with present day/past flashbacks. I was watching an episode with a friend the other day, and he got confused during last week's episode with Snow. They had scenes of her in present day looking for the wardrobe, then flashbacks to her meeting her mother in law, then scenes of Storybrooke. He had a hard time telling which time period we were watching.

Last night was similar, in that we saw present day Storybrook scenes with Rumple, then we went back to his pre "dark one" days where he was a coward. Then, we skip to him being the "dark one" and confronting Hook again. So, 3 different time periods for him in one episode.

Nice casting with Captain Hook. Yummy.
I am guessing that Rumple and Mila's son Brea will be Peter Pan?
