IllumiNations is very good, but even though I know it too has a story, just doesn't connect with me as much. I still think the original incarnation of IllumiNations was the best.

But no, unless they really spent a ton to update it (talking FutureWorld only, really) and really focused on getting back to that original vision...DL and DisneySea will be superior. And even if they DID go back to "basics", it would only work if they updated it COMPLETELY once every 10 years or less (ideally they would have a rotation where there was a "new" attraction every year or two, and they were always related towards the "next" vision of the future, so ever changing). It would take a lot of money and care. That's why Epcot of the 80's was so amazing, it was fresh.

The hodgepodge feel is also there in the DL show as well (though in Florida it does feel like they sort of threw in some newer movies "just because").
