If you refer to it as Fort Wilderness Lodge when making a reservation the CM might become confused, and try to book you in at the Cabins in Fort Wilderness. So be sure to request Wilderness Lodge. Not the Fort Wilderness Camp Grounds.

I'm sure you'll enjoy both of your choices.

I have found that I can save considerable money and have a more convenient stay by calling in. 1) by calling in you can compare prices for different packages useing mousesaver codes, aaa discounts etc. 2) when you call in you can request certain rooms or areas that will be closer to the things you want to use. For example at Riverside, I always request parking lot side closest to the bus stop and the old man pool. I also request first floor. This way I have to walk less throughout the trip and the air conditioning units are on the river view side of the building so there is less noise. Also if you get a side room adjacent to one of the quiet pools you can use the pool bathroom as an extra bathroom when everyone is trying to get ready in the mornings. Also when booking online always check the price of the package vs the price of room and tickets separately. I have found this can sometimes vary by more than 100 dollars. once there was an over 300 dollar difference. But using codes and booking live I can usually beat the online price by 400 to 500 dollars sometimes more.

Sometimes they will not show rooms available or rooms available for certain codes on their web site. When you get a live person to talk to they can check on everything.
