I can see the sit-down places not serving kid's meals to adults, but I sure appreciate when the walk-up counters allow me to buy them.

IMO, it seems a reasonable concept to enforce. Disney is a business enterprise, their goal is operate in such a way that they make end the eyar with mroe money than they started, not a charitable organization seeking to provide meals for the less fortunate; unless, of course, we are discussing Second Harvest ;-)

I disagree. It doesn't make sense as the meals are priced by portion size. Disney is not losing money on the children's meals as they are priced right now. They are still priced to make a profit. I hardly think that providing a smaller portion at a smaller price is akin to providing food to the less fortunate. I don't really agree with it, but then I don't order children's portions for adults in a sit-down restaurant either. What is the difference between ordering one entree and asking for an extra plate and ordering the children's entree? I guess it's semantics and that bugs me.

It makes perfect sense to be like most restaurants and have a set age limit for ordering kid's meals. But not in the way it was stated in 23.

For instance, my youngest doesn't like Mexican food, so while we're eating from Cocina Cucamonga, we'd get him chicken nuggets from somewhere else.

The silly thing about all this stuff is I think adults buying children's meals is the exception rather than the rule. And unlike eating at a restaurant near home, leftovers are rarely practical: you have to have a fridge at your hotel, and be on your way there after you eat. Otherwise, if you are a smaller eater (like I WISH I was, lol), you're throwing out significant quantities of food.

Like it was said above, I can see it for BB, where people want to soak up the atmosphere without spending much $$$ for it. And with those tables at a premium, it's reasonable to set limits. But elsewhere... give me a break!

I remember going to the Parks in the mid-to-late 80s, going to the Stouffers sponsored restaurant in New Orleans Square, realizing I wasn't very hungry, and just asking for a kid's meal.

It was absolutely no big deal to the Cast Members there. 'Sure!' they said 'No problem!'

I wonder what the real issue is?

Agree ~ What about a single person with say ~ 3 kids meals ~

Can they not buy 3 legite kids meals with one adult?

or are you saying each restaurant must have an adult to equal to no matter how many kids you get meals for ?

    That would be dumb !

Anyway I am sure Disney wouldn't do this at the table services throughout the park.

If they do ~ they will hear from alot of people ~ I'm sure.

HHhhhmmm, where do I start with this?

Let me just say that money is not a problem for me, and I assume for a lot of us who order kid's meals. I hate wasting money, and I hate wasting food. If I'm only wanting a smaller portion, why should I have to buy a huge portion and waste food (food that Disney can sell to other people!) that I'm not going to eat and spend money that could be wisely spent on other things?

My other issue I have is that I am a picky eater. I really don't like the foo-foo food they had the last time I was at the BB. I asked if I could have Mickey Nuggets instead and the server said "But of course!" I was happy to pay double for that opportunity.

Funny, but I would never ask to have a kid's portion at the Club. I wonder what they would say?

I'm not vegetarian, but I'm very fussy about what meats I'll eat and I know I can be a bit more adventurous with something vegetarian. The kids' meals are often "plainer" and less rich, which can be good for picky eaters or people who don't want to walk around feeling sick for the rest of the day!
