Barboy I don't know what Rohde interview you are alluding to but Trippy is 100% right. EE is not about the Yeti but about a railroad trip that does horribly wrong despite warnings of the legend of the Yeti. The legend is significantly more important than the Yeti himself.

No not at all. Im saying it doesnt necessarily need more AA's to make it "better." If it's about what leemac said.

Usually when 2 or more of the 5 special effects in the ride do not work as intended to.

Maybe yes but I'm not sure about that. And you have presented an interesting point for me to ponder.

As for the point of EE I think invoking Universal's Jurassic Park is appropriate. On Jurassic Park River Advenure the point of the ride is that something UNEXPECTED and dreadful happens on our leisurely boat ride of seeing dinosaurs(the hydrasour knocks us off course and the raptors escape from their pen). On Yeti we set out knowing and accepting the risks --lawyers might call this "assumption of risk". The expedition is about Looking for the snow beast knowing well that when we do find him he won't be a happy camper as evidenced by his destructive behavior.

For what it is worth you(Lee and RT) are making me rethink some angles here.

You can't get that much info doing the FP line and basicalli get NONE of it if you are on the single's Line. Then...what are those guests supposed to assume in regards to the backstory line for this ride???

As the attraction doesn't officially open to Friday that is all part of the normal T&A process.

That single problem alone destroys the illusion of being inside a mountain in the Himalayas.

As far as I'm concerned those gripes are only valid after Friday.

I don't know. I've been on a few dozen times now and have enjoyed them, most without long waits.

I'm sure glad I won't be within 1,000 miles of DAK this week with the Spring Break crowds.

But I do hope they get their effects working. Not having snow and fog takes away a huge part of the show, IMHO.

And it sure would stink if Disney had it working for Opening Day and the media and that just decided why bother, like they often do.

Hopefully not. I hope to be either sitting down or in the shade somewhere if it is hot! We have our team there so we can split the duties.

I will certainly try. Do you mean the jumbo one and the standard one? The only reason I say try is that I know it is a wristband day and I think we will be inside the park before the distribution.

Glad to hear it. I'm just bothered when things don't work properly and just (overly) fussy about ensuring the first ride is as near perfect as possible. Probably freakily so.

Also gives me something to look forward to at the end of the week. It has been difficult to be there and see it working and avoid it like the plague. I've been playing YetiVision and it shows you a lot of the ride so I have to shut my eyes during those videos!

Oh Lee, I am quite good doing just that. Remember.. I am a Purser in charge of service on my flights. I tell the junior puke what to do. As for getting a pin for me. That would be sweet but you don't have to do it. I would not even know how to collect it or pay you for it, unless you plan being at WDW thru the 11th... I don't return to Orlando until the evening of the 9th.

YES! I forgot about that in my trip report to DAK yesterday. The book is a LIMITED edition release of 10,000 and it's a nifty souvenir what chronicles the development design of the ride with some cool art work and photos. It's a must have souvenir for Disney freaks like me. I bought two of them..one for me and another for my friend in Japan.

I think I'm here until the 12th at present. All depends on my schedule. I can always leave it with the Moseleys anyhow.
