"ugly"!? My HOME this is!! I live in Urayasu, buddy! Watch it!! ; ) No, really you`re right about the industrial dockside location of TDR, TDRFAN, but actually if you look around Urayasu it`s quite a nice little town for being such a close suburb of Tokyo and all. There`s lots of little parks, cool looking shopping centers, and downtown (which most TDR visitors never see) has a great old style Japanese vibe that`s hard to find even in downtown Tokyo. I have many friends who grew up here, and they love to tell me stories about the heritage of Urayasu and the old fisherman`s spirit of "bringin home the sushi!". There`s even a Urayasu museum about the town, and it`s free. Pretty nice too, displays about the town 100 years ago and such (and english audio, unlike DisneySea!).

Also, look at all the perks that have been cut... * EE that they have no plans to bring back * DVC cutbacks on bedding, soap and supplies, etc * BIG cuts in maint. crew, you can NOT do more with less people in maint. * All the rides like 2KL, Skyway, etc, that have been cut but not replaced. * Discovery Island, which hopper guest got for free. * All the perks for being a stock holder This list could go on and on. The point being is that unless there is a dollar attached to an idea, it will not happen. Unlike the "good old days" when you did things to make the guest happy. Not it is do anything to get another buck out of them and take away anything that does not make a quick buck.

And for the record, i was only refering to the warehouses you see to the left of the Keiyo line just before it begins to turn right into Maihama from Shin-Urayasu. For the most part, i would choose to live in Urayasu if i had to live in Japan, specially in that lovely community on the OTHER side of Maihama. I would love to explore the areas of Urayasu you mentioned on your post. I have only been to the Shopper's Plaza, besides TDR. Maybe we can get to meet soon and you can show me around! I'd love that!!

I`d be glad to show you around anytime.
