What's sad is the fact that the flaws at WDW have put a serious dent in the "happiest place on earth" and some of you don't like to face that reality.

The fault lies with stupid planning. As several people have mentioned here the solution to the whole thing would be one way in - one way out. Wouldn't cost anything but a few signs and perhaps a post and rope setup down the street.

People keep claiming cheapness is behind some of Disney’s blunders. I don’t think so. It is stupidity that causes stuff like this. And that is even worse than cheapness.

I am probably one of the top ten "Disney Apologists" at LP. But even I can recognize it when something has been set up in a way that just doesn't make sense.

That doesn't mean I dislike either the MGM Studios or WDW. It also doesn't mean that I think WDW is on a downward spiral like some here do. It just means that I think this particular decision was dumb.

The area around the Sci-Fi was particularly bad as it appeared most of the people were trying to get in and out of the area by using that walkway. Considering that there are several ways in and out of that area, wouldn't it make sense to have an entrance and an exit. Having a plan, a little organization and extra cast members directing guests could have made all the difference in the world.

Some of the people on their scooters were out of control as usual, beeping their horns and running into people.

The other complaint I had was that by 6:30pm on both nights the concession stands had run out of many food items. We couldn't even find a pretzel at any outlet in the New York Street area. They had plenty of souvenir mugs but no food. All in all bad show once again. Despite the excessive overcrowding and the complete lack of organization we thought the dancing lights were nice.

So as of this past weekend nothing had been done to correct the congestion problem.

Of course, the best meal I have had was at Mythos at IOA where for $15.95 (minus 15% AP discount) I had a filet for lunch that was as good or better than Le Cellier ... Mythos is one great theme park resturant!

Oh, and to get back on topic ... went to MGM last night and didn't get there until 7. There was NO crowd control, but since crowds weren't bad at all, there were no problems or bottlenecks either.

I enjoyed the lights, haven't seen them in 4-5 years, but I was surprised (although I shouldn't have been) by how many strands of burnt out/inoperable bulbs there are. Bad show. Maybe Mitzi and Breezie Osborne can get out there with a ladder and replace them.

Indeed it is, but I have to say, I preferred Le Cellier. But it's all good.

I also have to say I did not have one bad meal at WDW - they were all great - Boma, Mara, Whispering Canyon, Captain Cook's, Liberty Tree, Columbia Harbour House, 50's Prime Time, Sunshine Season's, La Cantina, Le Cellier, Nine Dragons, Teppanyaki Mitsukoshi, Marrekesh, Biergarten, Flame Tree BBQ. They were all great!

Back on thread, we didn't have a problem with the crowd control (or lack of) and we were there for lights on. Maybe we were lucky. I could see it getting ugly if rammed however.
