She made a weird remark like "...and the movie that we did whose name we can't mention." Huh?< The Academy doesn't want to appear biased or promoting one studio or another, that is why they don't allow commercials of movies (or even of studio-owned properties, like Disneyland) during the broadcast. That is probably why.

You know, nowadays most folks want flash and flair...That gets boring after a while. I like variety. It was appropriate for the show, I commend the producers for that. It was another form of entertainment. Those people worked hard to give a good show, they should be appreciated. True, you don't have to like it, but don't knock it. It was a unique experience that alot of people this day and age aren't open to, and if that's wrong, then so be it.

Why so overly sensitive about the fact that some people didn't enjoy it? Let it go, geez.

Originally Posted By knightnfrees <<And in return we've been somewhat insulted for it.>> What? I don't see anywhere where we were insulting. We were expressing our opinion. Politely and to the point. It seemed weird to see they were referred to as "annoying". They were behind a scrim, it's not like they were flaunting anying in front of the camera. Anywho, I found when they formed the "Snakes on the Plane' to be quite impressive.

I just thought it was kind of boring (most of the show was boring) but it's not like I need flashy things to feel entertained. To imply that I am unappreciative of art and need something flashy to be entertained, or to imply that I might be offended by the nakedness insults me *a little*. If you want to watch naked people writhing around behind a screen, more power to you. ;-) It was better than a tap dance tribute to the Holocaust that happened a few years ago! (I also dislike mimes and ventriloquists. So shoot me!)

I could just kick myself now for not settin' up the Tivoâ„¢. <<(I also dislike mimes and ventriloquists. So shoot me!)>> Well, I'll give you that. Sometimes a mime is a terrible thing to waste. <---Hopes Mele doesn't dislike Puppeteers.
