The Disney store in Stockton closed a while back. We do still have the one in Modesto but it does not carry much that anyone really wants anymore. Maybe that is one of the problems. They quit carrying adult clothes and the toys were all cheap Princess and Pixar stuff.
I still like to go there just to get a little *Disney* when I cannot be in the Parks.
    Take care

Why would Disney need to do this? When anyone in any job loses that job due to downsizing or closure, they also lose their benefits (unless they can retire). Why are you holding Disney to a different standard than any other business?

The Boise store made a profit but most likely did not make enough of a profit to remodel the store to the new concept store they have in planning.
As a regular CM at the Disney Store you do not get an ID that gets you unlimited Disney Parks use. What you do recieve is 2x's a year a 1 day park hopper per spouse and dependant. So for our family of 4 we were able to get into Disneyland for 2 days out of a 365 days.
We did recieve a 20% discount. Not on all food places at the parks (this was lower then our discount we had under Childrens place)

As a store manager CM you would recieve a "maingate" pass that would allow you to visit only during non blackout periods and I think you could take 3 others with you.

When a Disney store closes they try very hard to assist those CM's find new jobs. They are still a company and in buisness to make money. As far as keeping those Disney benifits- it is not much to want keep. I also have not heard of any other buisness who would allow you to keep your benifits after a closure.
